From script to print to hypertext: two millennia of Exeter's literary heritage

  • Exeter United Kingdom (map)

Ian Maxted, book historian and former Devon local studies librarian, tracks literacy in Exeter across the centuries.

His illustrated talk reveals the changing forms in which the written word reached people here. 'The internet has not killed the book, just as the printed book did not kill the manuscript.'

Cost: £8 (£6 for members of Friends of RAMM).

This is an online Zoom talk.
