Don't Build Fires on the Backs of Big Fish: performance and talk by spoken-word poet Chris White

  • Exeter United Kingdom (map)

We all know the story, right? Sailor meets island. Island turns out to be a big fish. Fish drowns sailor.

It’s a tale as old as time, recurring throughout the ages in different cultures and countries across the world, including ‘The Whale’ in The Exeter Book.

But what is it that makes this story so worth telling? And how do we relate to it today?

Join Chris – spoken-word poet and sumberging artist – on this strange, soggy voyage into the heart of The Miclan Whale. Expect salacious cetaceans, live music, silly spoken-word & Free Willy.
