2026 Jinju International Youth Creativity Development Camp

Jinju, City of Crafts & Folk Art,  is pleased to host the “2026 Jinju International Youth Creativity Development Camp” to foster creativity and cultural competency among young people. We invite enthusiastic students from UNESCO Creative Cities around the world to participate in this international exchange programme.

Camp Overview - 2026 Jinju International Youth Creativity Development Camp

Period : August 21 (Fri) – August 26 (Wed), 2026 (5 nights and 6 days)

Venue : Various locations in Jinju City

Participants : 20 university students - 10 domestic students from universities in Jinju City - 10 overseas students recommended by Creative UNESCO City member cities

Main Programmes

  • Lecture 1: Diverse European Approaches to Creativity

  • Lecture 2: Youth in International Cooperation and City Networks

Practical Workshops

  • Creative Mission Project (Theme: “What is the Beauty of Jinju?”)

  • Theme Exploration and Mission Activities (Storyboarding, local exploration, short video production, etc.)

Cultural Experiences

  • Jinju Fortress night tour (Traditional costume Hanbok experience and media art)

  • Traditional lantern making

  • Traditional craft-making

  • Small cultural exchange festival (“Jinju in the Forest”)

  • Learning Jinju Sword Dance, etc. Exploration Activities

  • Jinju Silk Museum

  • Kim Si-minho Night Cruise

  • Jinju Namgang Lantern Exhibition Hall

  • Local food experience

  • City tours (Jungang Market and Olppam Saturday Night Market), etc.
